OUR HEROESIt is easy to forget about our Heroes living overseas, after all, we are all busy wives, daughters, sisters and mothers barely getting through our daily hectic schedules. It is easy to forget that we are living in the GREATEST country in the world, and our service men and women have sacrificed everything to preserve what makes America so special, our Freedoms.
We must remember that it is not just our military Men and Women living on these bases over seas, but many times than not, they are also joined by their families. These families don’t have a Target, Walmart or CVS down the street. And a newspaper with coupons is hard to come by.
Being a proud American, I have always wanted to give back to the men and women sacrificing their lives and comforts to protect us abroad and I hope that you will join me in my effort to Save Military members and their families Money.
THE PROGRAM
Saving Heroes Money is a way to give back to our Heroes and their families stationed at American Bases Overseas. Saving Heroes Money is a coupon program that will sponsor four oversea bases a year, sending expired coupons to one base every three months.
When you find a coupon that just expired, or one that you don’t need, put it aside in an envelope or plastic bag. When you feel you have a good amount, send them to the address I have listed.
I have personally contacted each commissary and the response for a need of coupons was HUGE.
Once the coupons arrive, the Commissaries will divide the coupons up into plastic bins for the shoppers to go through OR will tape the coupons to the actual product, if they have enough volunteers to do so.
WHY COUPONS?
As you have learned off this site, using coupons can help you save BIG MONEY off your grocery bill each week. Even better, our Service men, women and their families can use manufacturer coupons for up to 6 months past their expiration date at their Commissary stores overseas. This allows for a much longer use of coupons. “With so many of our military deployed the additional savings help our families with the added burden they are currently carrying.” Says Mr. Zaher of Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. From South Korea to Japan to Germany and all around the world these coupons will help our military families save money on their grocery bills and keep money in their families pockets. Helping others is the American Way, I hope you will join me!
